PVA 0572 is a kind of modified Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) produced through the special process of polymerization, alcoholysis and drying with vinyl acetate as the main raw material which is obtained by the way of composition with acetic acid and acetylene getting from cracking of natural gas. It has outstanding capability of superficial activity, dispersion and colloid maintenance.
It is a water-soluble synthetic polymer derived from the hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is characterized by its medium viscosity and partial alcoholysis degree (72 mol%), which contributes to its unique balance of solubility, film-forming ability, and adhesion properties. It is mainly used as dispersant stable agent in suspended polymerization.
Key Features:
Alcoholysis Degree: ~72 mole% (Medium hydrolyzed), offering enhanced solubility in cold water compared to fully hydrolyzed grades.
Viscosity: Moderate viscosity range (typically measured at 4% aqueous solution, 20°C), suitable for coatings, adhesives, and emulsification.
Film Formation: Forms flexible, transparent films with good oxygen barrier properties.
Chemical Stability: Resistant to oils, greases, and organic solvents.
Biodegradability: Environmentally friendly and non-toxic.
