L'alcool polyvinylique est un excellent collo\u00efde protecteur et dispersant pour l'homopolym\u00e9risation ou la copolym\u00e9risation de l'ac\u00e9tate de vinyle avec d'autres monom\u00e8res afin de produire une \u00e9mulsion (colle blanche), ce qui est tr\u00e8s important pour la production de colle blanche. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, plus le degr\u00e9 de polym\u00e9risation de l'alcool polyvinylique augmente, plus la viscosit\u00e9 de l'\u00e9mulsion produite augmente. L'alcool polyvinylique de type alcoolisation partielle (JOYFORCE PVA 1788) est utilis\u00e9 en combinaison avec l'alcool polyvinylique de type alcoolisation compl\u00e8te (tel que JOYFORCE PVA 1799, PVA 1999).
