Par exemple : apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9tir\u00e9 48 fois le fil g\u00e9lifi\u00e9 fil\u00e9 avec le solvant mixte dim\u00e9thylsulfoxyde\/eau (8\/2), on obtient une fibre d'une r\u00e9sistance de 21,36cN\/dtex. Des fibres d'alcool polyvinylique \u00e0 haute r\u00e9sistance et \u00e0 haut module, d'une r\u00e9sistance de 39cN\/dtex et d'un module de 925,6cN\/dtex, peuvent \u00eatre obtenues par filage en gel\u00e9e \u00e0 partir d'alcool polyvinylique syndiotactique \u00e0 tr\u00e8s haut degr\u00e9 de polym\u00e9risation. La r\u00e9sistance du filament d'alcool polyvinylique super r\u00e9sistant obtenu par la technologie de filage en gel\u00e9e de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 japonaise Kuraray atteint 18 cN\/dtex. Dans la technologie de filage humide, l'ajout de borate \u00e0 la solution permet de former des points de r\u00e9ticulation pendant le processus de coagulation, de sorte que les cha\u00eenes mol\u00e9culaires de faible densit\u00e9 dans les fibres fil\u00e9es sont enchev\u00eatr\u00e9es, ce qui permet de r\u00e9aliser un \u00e9tirement important.
