Secara umum, seiring dengan meningkatnya derajat polimerisasi polivinil alkohol, viskositas emulsi yang dihasilkan pun meningkat. Polivinil alkohol jenis alkoholisis parsial (JOYFORCE PVA 1788) digunakan dalam kombinasi dengan polivinil alkohol jenis alkoholisis lengkap (seperti JOYFORCE PVA 1799, PVA 1999). Polivinil alkohol jenis alkoholisis parsial dapat meningkatkan stabilitas emulsi.
