Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) 1799 is a fully hydrolyzed, high-purity synthetic polymer derived from the hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate. It features a hydrolysis degree of approximately 99 mole% and a polymerization degree typically around 1700, making it a versatile water-soluble polymer with balanced mechanical strength, adhesion, and film-forming properties.
Key Characteristics
Appearance: White or cream-colored granular powder.
Solubility: Soluble in hot water (85–95°C) but exhibits limited solubility in cold water.
Viscosity: Medium viscosity in aqueous solutions, adaptable for formulations requiring controlled flow and binding performance.
Thermal Stability: Excellent resistance to heat and organic solvents.
