PVA 0588

PVA 0588 is a low-polymerization-degree, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol characterized by a degree of polymerization (DP) ~500 and a hydrolysis degree of ~88 mole%. It is synthesized through controlled hydrolysis of polyvinyl acetate.

Solubility: Rapidly soluble in cold or warm water, forming low-viscosity solutions
Film Formation: Produces flexible, transparent films with moderate mechanical strength.
